Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question ? We are here to help.
Q: How should I choose the storage capacity? Should I buy 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB?
A: For example, with 8K RAW on the R5, a 512GB card can store only about 24 minutes of footage, while a 1TB card can store around 48 minutes. Therefore, if you have high-bitrate video recording needs, we generally recommend starting with a 512GB card. However, if you are just doing regular photography, a 128GB or 256GB card should be sufficient.
Q: Is your memory card compatible with my camera? How is the compatibility?
A: Our memory cards are compatible with the vast majority of currently available cameras and do not have compatibility issues. Additionally, we continuously update and improve the firmware of the cards to better support newly released cameras. For a detailed list of supported models, please refer to the information at the beginning or contact customer service.
Q: What is the actual capacity displayed on the camera and on the computer?
A: For example, with a 512GB card, the difference in capacity display is due to the binary (1GB = 1024MB) and decimal (1GB = 1000MB) calculation methods. Cameras and Windows systems use binary calculation, so they display 476GB. macOS uses decimal calculation, so it displays 512GB.
Q: How does your product compare to other brands like Sony or SanDisk?
A: Sorry, we do not comment on competitors' products, as they are respected counterparts. We recommend purchasing our product for your own comparison. We offer a 7-day no-reason return policy, so if you are not satisfied with our product, you can return it.
Q:Can purchasing a memory card guarantee data recovery?
A: Sorry, we do not make such absolute guarantees. Although the overall failure rate of our memory cards is very low, we cannot guarantee that they will never encounter issues. Without being able to predict the exact cause of any potential problems, we cannot offer a 100% data recovery guarantee. However, if you do encounter such difficult issues, we will make every effort to attempt data recovery, and this service is provided free of charge.
Q: Is the card reader universal? Can it use an XQD reader? Does it overheat?
A: Other brands' CFexpress card readers should theoretically be compatible with our memory cards, but actual performance may vary, and we cannot guarantee 100% compatibility. XQD card readers, in theory, cannot support CFexpress memory cards. Our memory cards have high performance, so some heat generation is inevitable during operation. However, we have optimized the algorithm protocol and power DCDC to ensure that, compared to other products, our cards generate relatively low heat.
Q: What are the overall advantages of your CFexpress?
A: We are a senior council member of the global CFA organization (https://compactfash.org), which is responsible for setting the CFexpress standards. Each of our memory card products undergoes testing and certification by the CFA association, so you can be assured of their quality and compatibility.
Q: Does it support Z8/Z9’s 8.3K 60P and RED W’s 8K 120P? Can it continuously record until full?
A: The Gold version offers excellent performance, meeting the high specifications required for demanding recording needs, including 8.3K 60P NRAW quality for the Z9, as well as 8K recording for the R5, R5C, and RED VV. Additionally, the Gold version has low power consumption and maintains stable full-card speeds, supporting recording until the card is full.
Q: What is the actual speed on the computer? Is it as fast as advertised?
A: Actual speed can be affected by your computer's configuration and the files being copied, similar to how a sports car's speed is influenced by the type of road it’s on. Computer speed is a "bucket effect," where any limitations can become a bottleneck. For example, if you use a USB 2.0 port, even the best computer will only achieve speeds of around 20-30 MB/s. Similarly, if you’re copying from an HDD to a CFexpress card, even with a USB 3.0 connection, the speed will be limited by the HDD’s read speed.
Q: What brand is this? Is it made in China?
A: Our company has been selling enterprise-level and camera storage products since 2013, and started developing and launching solid-state USB drives in 2014. Our products use solutions from various regions in China, including ASMedia (Taiwan), SM (Taiwan), InnoGrit (Shanghai), and Phison (Taiwan). The flash memory is supplied by companies like Toshiba (Japan), SanDisk (Japan), and Micron (USA). Therefore, while we are a semiconductor design company based in China, our core components come from around the world.
Q: How is the product warranty handled?
A: CFexpress memory cards come with a lifetime warranty and have no write limit. Card readers come with a 1-year warranty. For qualit y issues within 30 days of the order, we will cover the round-trip shipping costs. After 30 days, shipping costs will be shared. Please note that issues caused by user actions such as disassembly, repair, bending, deformation, or water damage will void the warranty.
