Note: As of December 2024, all cameras in the market that use Type B memory cards use the PCle3.0 protocol, so a PCle4.0 memory card inserted into a currently available camera will only operate in PCle3.0 mode, and may not be able to maximize the performance of the card.

Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question ? We are here to help.
Q: You Gold Gold Edition CFB4.0 advertised so fast, there is a false label?
A:The Gold Edition CFB 4.0 uses the PCIe 4.0 protocol, which doubles the bandwidth compared to the old PCI CFB card. With the new controller and FLASH, it can operate at higher frequencies, resulting in a significant performance boost. However, as of May 2024, all cameras on sale still use the PCIe 3.0 protocol and cannot fully utilize the PCIe 4.0 performance.
Our detailed data is based on real-world testing, but please note:
- If you use an adapter card and plug it directly into a motherboard PCIe 4.0 slot, the storage card will run at PCIe 4.0, allowing it to reach maximum performance.
- If using a Thunderbolt 4/USB4 card reader, which requires PCIe 4.0 to be converted to USB, there may be a 10% loss in performance, with exact performance varying depending on the test platform.
- If using a standard USB 3.1 GEN2 card reader, the maximum bandwidth of the card reader (10Gbps) will limit the speed, so the transfer rate won’t be very fast.
- If plugged into a USB 3.0/USB 3.2 GEN1 port, regardless of the card reader used, the speed will be limited by the USB 3.0 interface, and the speed will not exceed 400MB/s. Therefore, the storage card's ultimate speed is constrained by the weakest link in the system, creating a bottleneck effect.
Q:What improvements does the Gold Edition 4.0 have compared to the previous Gold Edition? What are the differences? Is it worth upgrading to the Gold Edition 4.0?
A:The main difference between the Gold Edition 4.0 and the previous Gold Edition 2.0 is the protocol upgrade to PCIe 4.0, which nearly doubles the performance compared to the old version. Additionally, the exterior now uses a CNC pure aluminum alloy process for better heat dissipation. However, it is important to note that most cameras still use the CFB 2.0 version, so even if you purchase the Gold Edition 4.0 card, the actual performance during use will not show a significant difference or improvement compared to the old Gold Edition.
Q:How is the burst shooting performance of this CFB storage card? How long can continuous shooting last on my camera?
A:For example, the Z9 will be much faster than the Z6. The final burst shooting results are influenced by many factors, such as RAW and JPG size settings, camera resolution, shutter speed, autofocus time, and more. Therefore, without specific working conditions and settings, it's difficult to provide an accurate answer. However, our product has excellent performance and is specifically optimized for burst shooting, so you don’t need to worry about its burst shooting capabilities.
Q:Does the storage card overheat?
A: The increased frequency brings performance gains, but it also leads to higher power consumption and heat generation, which are directly related. Therefore, the performance and heat of the CFB card are significantly higher than those of SD cards. During operation, it generates more heat. To address this issue, we’ve adopted a more advanced manufacturing process (12nm) and upgraded the exterior to CNC pure aluminum alloy. Additionally, we’ve filled the interior with thermal silicone gel and graphene heat sinks. As a result, our product has excellent control over power consumption and heat generation within the industry, so there’s no need to worry too much.
Q: Which card reader is recommended for this CFB 4.0? Are other card readers on the market compatible?
A: A USB4 card reader can unleash the maximum performance of the storage card. However, since USB4 card readers are expensive, we recommend USB3.1 card readers for users who are not particularly sensitive to speed, as they will meet most everyday needs. Most other card readers on the market are compatible with the Gold Edition CFB 4.0 card, but some readers may not fully support CFB 4.0, leading to potential compatibility issues. We recommend using our official compatible card reader for optimal performance.
Q: How should I choose the capacity? Should I buy 1TB or 2TB? How long can it record for? Does my camera support 4TB?
If you're mainly using it for everyday photography or 1080P or 4K video recording, 1TB should generally be enough. However, for users who record high-intensity videos, we recommend considering a 2TB product. You can estimate the required capacity based on the bitrate. For example, if the video recording bitrate is 2600 Mbps, it generates 325 MB of data per second. Therefore, 1000 seconds of video would result in 325 GB of data.
Q:Does your memory card support my camera? Does it support 8K recording? How is the compatibility?
A: Our memory cards support all shooting modes for cameras with CFexpress Type B slots currently on the market, regardless of the camera model. Additionally, the Gold Edition 4.0 product offers excellent performance and supports all camera specifications on the market, including 8K60P and 12K60P recording. We are an executive council member of the CFA association, and our memory cards also support future firmware updates, so you don't need to worry about compatibility.
Q: What is the actual capacity displayed on the camera and on the computer for the memory card?
A: Taking 2TB as an example, the difference in display is due to the binary (1GB = 1024MB) and decimal (1GB = 1000MB) calculation methods. Both the camera and Windows use the binary system, so it will show as 1908GB. macOS uses the decimal system, so it will show as 2048GB.4o mini
Q:Can purchasing a memory card guarantee data recovery?
A: Sorry, we do not make such absolute guarantees. Although the overall failure rate of our memory cards is very low, we cannot guarantee that they will never encounter issues. Without being able to predict the exact cause of any potential problems, we cannot offer a 100% data recovery guarantee. However, if you do encounter such difficult issues, we will make every effort to attempt data recovery, and this service is provided free of charge.
Q: What brand is this? Is it made in China?
A: Our company has been selling enterprise-level and camera storage products since 2013, and started developing and launching solid-state USB drives in 2014. Our products use solutions from various regions in China, including ASMedia (Taiwan), SM (Taiwan), InnoGrit (Shanghai), and Phison (Taiwan). The flash memory is supplied by companies like Toshiba (Japan), SanDisk (Japan), and Micron (USA). Therefore, while we are a semiconductor design company based in China, our core components come from around the world.
Q: How is the product warranty handled?
