Chipfancier Warranty Policy
1. Warranty Coverage
Chipfancier (“the Seller”) warrants to the original end-user purchaser (“you”) that its product (excluding any third-party software) will be free from material and workmanship defects under normal use during the applicable warranty period.
This limited warranty only applies to defects arising from normal usage of the product. It does not cover issues caused by misuse, abuse, negligence, accidents, unauthorized repairs or modifications, power surges, improper installation, or natural disasters. Use of the product not in accordance with the provided instructions may void this warranty.
2. Warranty Service Process
To request warranty service, you must provide valid proof of purchase and obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number from the Seller within the warranty period. Once approved, the defective product must be returned following the Seller’s instructions.
Shipping must be prepaid, and the product must be properly packaged to prevent damage during transit. It is highly recommended to use insured and trackable shipping, as the Seller is not responsible for any loss or damage that occurs during return shipping.
3. Remedies Under Warranty
If the product is found to be defective and within the warranty period, the Seller will, at its sole discretion, either repair the product, replace it with an equivalent or similar item, or refund the original purchase price (minus any rebates or fair market value, whichever is lower).
Repaired or replacement products may be new, refurbished, or functionally equivalent to the original product. The warranty does not cover the recovery or reinstallation of data, and the Seller is not liable for any data or images lost during service.
4. Limitation of Warranty
All implied warranties—including warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, and fitness for a particular purpose—are limited in duration to the length of the express warranty period.
Any other express or implied warranties, including warranties of non-infringement, are disclaimed to the fullest extent permitted by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so these limitations may not apply to you.
5. Software Disclaimer and Data Responsibility
Any third-party software provided by the Seller is supplied “as is,” without any warranties. You assume all responsibility for the installation, performance, and results of such software. If it proves to be defective, all necessary servicing or correction costs will be your responsibility.
The Seller does not guarantee that your data will be secure or inaccessible to unauthorized parties. You are solely responsible for backing up and securing your data. The Seller is not liable for any data loss, corruption, or unauthorized access.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Seller shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost data, lost profits, or loss of business, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
In any case, the Seller’s total liability shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product. These limitations will apply even if any remedy fails its essential purpose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. Therefore, the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by jurisdiction.
Even if any warranty or remedy provided under this agreement fails of its essential purpose, the above limitations will apply. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
